We believe aging is due to accumulation of damage to the genome.
As we age, our genome is constantly being damaged by internal and external factors.
Occasionally, errors are missed and incorporated into the DNA in the form of mutations, structural variations, epigenetic drift, and other types of information loss.
This DNA damage has been shown to be a central driver of aging.
Our goal at Matter Bio is to protect cells from damage and remove cells that are corrupted.
This will both prevent and treat a wide array of diseases of ageing and potentially extend lifespan itself.
To achieve this, we are enhancing cellular DNA damage repair and removing cancer where it exists.
We have assembled a world-class team of scientists and executives to make this vision a reality.
